I know families who lived on first floor before and they "all" have problems though. I guess it depends if you are lucky.
One friend's apartment was broken in. She actually saw people (teenagers) moving stuff away from her apartment right after she left home. The police wouldn't help coz those were kids, and they wouldn't even care to ollect the fingerprints.
Another family's windows were ofen broken coz the drunk teenagers threw stones on Friday nite.
