I will give you several tips.
1) Go with livebearer. i.e. Guppy, Molly, Platy, swordtail, ect. I recommand you get some ballon mollies. They are really cute. Also, molly is called "pig-fish". They will eat anything. You will never face to algae outbreak problem.
2) You don't need a pleco. They grow very big. There will be overstock problem if they grow really big.
3) Go with small amount of fishes. i.e. 2-3 fishes for couple of weeks, since you need to cycle your tank first. During this period, keep watching Ammonia, Nitrite, and Nitrate level.
