All provinces have a inter-province agreement that all parking tickets fine must be paid before renewal of vehicle's sticker.
For the court, you can try to fight, but the fault is on your side. If you said the sign is WRONG, then you don't need to paid. If the sign is NOT CLEAR, means its correct, but you didn't take time to read and understand.
If you said that, you lost already.
