I was there (Tian An Men Square) to the end of May. After June 4, I went to the place where the dead students were placed for recognition.
I was in the whole event except the day of June 4. Think of the whole thing. You can compare it to the color revolutions in recent years. I think that the government did the right thing although it may seems to be crude to many people. Think if the government were dismantled at that time, China would be under the control of US. China will be nothing in the world.
Rethink the whole thing. A US-preferred democracy will create a crack for US to make big influences to China easily. Also, look at China, it is not the prime time for democracy in China. Democracy is not good for China right now. It will need several generations.
