I have a laptop with Windows 2000 ,a computer with Windows 98(they both have network interface card)and a crossover cable. Is there anyone who knows how to setup these two computers? I only know some basic thing about how to set setup Windows 2000.

But I have tried some methods to find the other computer through map network drive and search for computer, it doesn't work. I also have tried to sign the IP address on two computer, it also doesn't work.
HOW TO FIND THE OTHER COMPUTER?

sign in when you start both computers.

You should install cable access??? from the windows, I can't
remember the whole procedure. You can check from the web anyway,
it should be very easy.

I had checked some websites before I published this note. It included how to set up Windows 2000, Windows 98. I have tried to use TCP/IP protocol, NetBEUI protocol, and direct connection between two computers. I have thought that it is easy to connect two computers. Actually, it is not. I think maybe somewhere I have set up was not correct.
