Following the steps of 阿瓜, GangW, I went to March Valley road to check out the Great Grey Owl.

Drove there in the morning just to check out the road. Turned out that location has been know for owl watching and many people drive there to take a look or take some photos (lots of big guns). You don't have to really look for owl just look for cars parked at road side.

The owl in the morning is quite far away in DND side. Did not take a good shots.

Went back after lunch and saw a another one. Again it's quite far, but manage to take the following one (100% crop);

2. Also noticed some small birds along road side:

3. went back in after work. Drive down the road and saw 2 owl but neither is close. Manage to catch a flying shot:

4. While waiting Owl to move towards us, I noticed the beatiful sunset and it diverted my attention:

6 just when I'm about to leave, an owl flyed out of DND area and landed on a tree just beside the road. Manage to get a close shot. Noticed that 10D partial metering is way off.

7. Finally, after I finished the owl shots (too dark) saw a small stream with reflected sunset light ...

8. Noticed the owl is flying towards me in the following shot ? Unfortunately I'm on wide angle lens and it's too dark

都好，就是觉得#4景深好像不大够。刻意的吗？

不是刻意, 光线太暗, 已经ISO400了, 我又用的是XXB+1.4X (F5.6), 想收也没法收. GangW同志长焦必配IS很有道理.

不是刻意, 光线太暗, 已经ISO400了, 我又用的是XXB+1.4X (F5.6), 想收也没法收. GangW同志长焦必配IS很有道理.

我是说景深小了点，f8-11就挺合适。91mm X 1.6 X1.4=203mm,收一档还是可以手持的。
而且稳定性上来讲，绞架要好于is.这方面你我是达成过共识的

Thanks. Most of the photos are taken at ISO 400 or 800. That's why it's noisy. Would go back at a better time.
