I agree this is a great all around lens for travel etc.

I do think Canon need to have some better wide angle primes though.

10-22mm效果很不错了,8mm作出来就厉害了.

I do think Canon need to have some better wide angle primes though.

In case you do not know this yet, here is list of existing Canon ultra wide angle L primes:
EF 14/2.8L USM
EF 24/1.4L USM
EF 35/1.4L USM

and with the crop factor of 1.6x, the wide end of the new ef-s 8-20 is about 11mm on a FF. so pretty close, I'd say. besides, without a confirming review, I think the insane 8mm may not be usable in serious photography.

Although I think 1.6x sensors are here to stay, I doubt Canon will develop a set of ultra wide angle primes for these cameras.
