I have got a photo today at work. The girl does not like to be photographied. She insists she is not photogenic. I am still convincing her. one way or another, I will have to find a model for protrait one day....

Anyways, she agreed to give me a chance today. just one though, so here we go, just one photo. I used this photo for a high key style PP. What do you think? I know, many people may be unable to handle high key portrait. Yeah, let me know, bro and sis?

Update: just fooled around with photoshop, and I came up with this poster. Revisiting old photos is a lots of fun!

I don't know the exact definition of high key or low key but I don't think the first one with brighter exposure can be qualified as high key. In my understanding, there is something else in the photo that makes it high or low key.

To my best knowledge, High key photo uses high light "blown out" to simply photo, and emphasizes the important curves and edges. But it is not a real "blown out". It is well below the blown out point. Like mine, the brightest point in that photo was aroung 250 in stead of 255 in RGB. Also, most important part of the images should be at high level of brightness. Make it short, a phot has useless part blown out to show the curve and simplicity of content, without hurting eyes.

Well, that was my understanding. no sure what the common defination is.
