The problem is... I'm not so familiar with Photoshop, especially colour calibration. What necessary post process did you identify?

As a DSLR user, Photoshop is a must.
In your case, you need to adjust level and/or curve and/or bright/contrast; Saturation; and USM.

Didn't ask your permission, processed one of your photo.
Correct exposure is very important too. The post #1, and #3 are over-exposured in my taste, well, at that time of the day, I wouldn't photo the sun.

What's the function in PS that works like a GND filter?? I think it may work for these two pictures.

BTW, you can try to use layer_mask+gradient. However, correct exposure is more important in this case, in another word, a GND filter might be needed.
