请问你对MAIN FLOOR做拆除间隔有什么经验? 对判断和处理承重墙拆除的经验如何?



墙分为load-bearing wall 和 partition wall.
拆除load-bearing(承重墙),需要approval,而且最好请professional 来做。
但自己可以拆除partition wall，
如何辨别二者？
仅通过外表不容易作出准确判断。
两者最明显区别是partition wall 只有一层top plate(就是2*4 stud 最上边那根儿横木头），load-bearing wall 至少两层，为了增强承受力。为了看到这一步，需要打开一小块儿drywall，有点儿麻烦，但绝对准确。
简单办法，与floor 和ceiling joists 平行的墙，一定是partition wall。
与joists 垂直的墙，两者都有可能。
建在support beams 上面的墙是load-bearing wall。
自己动手，格外小心事先关掉电，水，煤气...

1，取下墙上所有悬挂物及钉子，胶布，修补钉子洞。
2,窗户帘竿处，多余的洞，要封上。
3,有的drywall screw 松动了，墙上会鼓起个小胞（旧房的标志）一定要修。
4,hallway 容易磕磕碰碰的，要仔细检查。
5,冬天玻璃上的冰融化后，浸泡窗户台下边drywall，会导致油柒脱落。
6,baseboard, windows doors frame,crack.
7,墙角inside /outside 90度，会有crack.
等等这些都是旧房子的特征，需要精心修补，细心打扮，使房子年轻几岁，好多换点儿银子。

1,旧房子ceiling,、窗户两侧的墙壁，由于漏水，经常会有黄色water stain.
2,厨房,有时侯做饭会将油溅到ceiling,wall。
3,有的小孩用荧光笔在墙壁上乱画。
4,楼梯凳两侧的木头上，也会有黄色的stain.
5,还有 mold and mildew stains
等等，这些都是painting过程中常见的问题。使用regular primer or paint, 几十遍都不能遮盖这些stains.这时候就要用到kilz.不同用途，用不同产品。我所介绍的这种，使用最方便。
