那就是从加拿大到中国去了. 为什么Air Canada会查双程机票呢? 只要你有中国大使馆给的VISA, 就可以登机去中国啊. 即使有人怀疑你有移民倾向, 怀疑你去了中国会滞留不归,非法居留, 那也是中国大使馆的签证管的事情啊. 不关Air Canada的事啊.

You must hold a round-way ticket if you are a Canadican Citizen and if you are leaving for China. I know a few cases that people were forbidden to get boarding. 100% sure. Some people may not be caught, but this is a rule (not made by Air Canada).

What happened if a Canadian Citizen went to china, working for, say 2 years ?
They still have to buy round trip ticket ? Or does Air Canada actually know
the different type of Chinese Visa ?

Round-way ticket only applies to Canadian Citizen. It doesn't matter if you are a Chinese Citizen.

If a CA citizen goes to worlk in China for two years, he/she should buy a round-way ticket too. They suppose this person would take vacations.

Air Canada checks it very strictly (off course, still some people didn't get caught), please don't take it for granted.

You cannot use Chinese passport to leave Canada and use Canadian passport to enter Canada. The Customs makes sure that your two documents are identical. I have a good friend who met this problem.

You can buy a return open ticket and refund the return ticket after you land in China.

I really doubt this is true. My father went to Canada using a one-way ticket from China to Canada. The immigrant officer did not ask him why he held a one way ticket to enter Canada for family visit since his visa just last 6 months.

People has option to buy two of the one-way ticket. One leave Canada another one return Canada. This should be no of the business of government. I guess your friend might be catched for some other reason but not just due to a one-way ticket.

May I ask if your father a Canadian Citizen?

My parents even bought one-way tickets from China to Canada too.

This rule ONLY applies if you are a Canadian Citizena and you are leaving for China. If you are a Canadian Citizena and you are leaving for Canada from China. it doesn't matter.

My family member works at Ottawa airport and we indeed see the people who were forbidden to get on board (a few times). Just give you an example here, there were a family of three (a mother, a father and a kid) who wanted to go back to China for Spring Festival last year. The father is a Chinese Citizen and has a business in China. The mother and the kid are Canadian Citizens. They all bought a ONE-WAY tickets. But, they were stopped by Air Canada stuff when they did check-in, because the mother and the kid need to show the round-way tickets. Why? They were told that they are Canadian Citizens and they are leaving for China. My husband was assinged to be a translator for them because they couldn't express themselves well in English. The result was they didn't catch the plane in the morning. Air Canada stuff told my husband that this is not their rule, but they do check it. I also khew some more cases happened on my friends.

Anyway, belive it or not!

觉得很奇怪，加航网站能查到这个规定么？如果有这样的规定，不违法么？

我是好奇啊，没有怀疑谁的意思。我还不是Canadian Citizen呢

如果从美国转机回国，不乘加航，还要返程票吗？
