How are the fee subsidy rules changing? Effective January 1, 2007, income testing was introduced in the Province of Ontario. To apply for subsidy, you must file an income tax return as the information shown on Line 236 on your most recent Notice of Assessment/ Reassessment, and the amount of your Universal Child Care Benefit (if applicable) will be used to calculate the amount you will have to pay for Child Care. If you are a recent immigrant to Canada, you can still apply but you will need to provide this information when you file your first tax return.
Assets and expenses will no longer be considered under the income test. If you already receive a fee subsidy, your fee will be recalculated when you come for your next scheduled review. An exception may be made at your first review if you have a child or children under the age of six; however your Notice of Assessment/ Reassessment is still mandatory.

Who qualifies for a Child Care subsidy?
o qualify for a Child Care subsidy, you must:

1. Live in the City of Ottawa. Call 613-580-9696 to apply.
2. Be working, looking for work, or going to school during the hours when your child would be in Child Care. If you or your child has special needs, such as medical, emotional or social problems, you may also qualify.
3. Be in financial need, as determined by the most recent Income Tax Federal Notice of Assessment or Canada Child Care Tax Benefit notice. You will also be considered to be in financial need if you are eligible for social assistance.

The first step - Finding a space You are responsible for finding a subsidized Child Care space for your child within the City of Ottawa. Most licensed Child Care centres and home Child Care programs provide subsidized Child Care spaces. You may have to wait until a space becomes available to be put on a waiting list. Contact the Centralized Waiting List: 613-248-3605.
For name of Child Care centres and agencies, call Child Care Information at 613-248-3605 or try the our search engine.
Most available Child Care spaces are full-time spaces, either in a licensed Child Care centre or home care program. It may be possible to arrange for part-time care.

You may also be eligible to receive payments for some of your Child Care costs through The Ontario Child Care Supplement for Working Families, an Ontario Government Program. It provides support to help low-to-middle income families with children under seven where the parents are in the workforce, in school or in training. Families where one parent stays at home to care for children under seven may also qualify. You must apply each year for this program. 是不是现在不管存款和资产是多少？只要求收入？如果2008年申请,需要提供2007年报税还是2006年的报税了？

是。应该是2007年的，如果你已经找到daycare并有位置才可以申请。
