最近接到电话那里有位置，所以想问一下那里的各方面都怎么样？大家都推荐KANATA的什么幼儿园？
我们家的小孩现在在一个HOME DAYCARE，感觉没有教什么，不知道幼儿园会不会好些？

请问你给孩子注册的是哪个年龄段的啊？我给我儿子在那个daycare注册的是从18个月开始上的，明年4月开始，不知是不是比较容易排到。谢谢。

my daughtor goes there. they're very good: extremly CLEAN, thorough communications, very organized (You'll never lose anything, not even a hair pin)...you'll receive daily report, weekly activity agenda, annual interview with the teacher, etc.

我们几乎给所有的KANATA DAYCARE都注册了，注册的是2岁半的，我们也不知道容易不容易排到，就是看机会了。

This evening I went there and someone told me it is daycare in the day and in the evening it is church. So they are sharing that building?

It is in a church building, but it is seperated from the inside. There's also a coop nursery in the same building. The BCLC has an indoor gym, and two outdoor play yards, in the winter, the gym comes in handy so children can play freely indoor.

I really concerned that what she can learn from the day care.
we were told that some of our friends' kids in China are so smart and they can recognize 200 Chinese words and can sing English songs very well.... Their ages are similar to my daughter but my daughter still can't speak well no matter English or Chinese, we got too much pressure

Don't worry. Personally I don't think kids learning too much at early age is a good thing. Most of public day care won't teach too much. However, you can send your kid to Montessori, if you want her to learn more.

I have checked Bridlewood Learning Center too. Here are just my opinion:
Pros:
1) The educators seems nice.
2) The rooms are organized and well decorated.
3) Kitchen is clean. Food is prepared and followed by Canadian food guide (but that is the same for all public daycares)
4) Gym is good if kids have to stay inside.

Cons:
1) Morning snack is too early (8:00am), then there is no other snack until lunch.
2) Outdoor playarea is next to bus stop, and the busy intersection. Noisy and polluted air due to the amount of cars coming by. Not very well shaded.
3) Almost no field trip. Always within daycare.
4) Rooms are a bit crowded. Windows are small. They have 2 preschool programs. So that is 48 kids. Plus a toddler program. That is a lot of kids.
5) They mentioned that Chinese kids are usually quiet when I asked how they communicate with kids whose first language is not English. I am not happy with the answer.

I can not comment on what they teach. It is better you look several places and compare. Ask many questions.
