关于uhip

我是留学生，我老婆刚从国内过来，正在申请open work permit, 我看uhip的说明，家属是必须加入uhip的，是这样的吗？

不是必需的，但是最好有，不然万一有什么问题后悔都来不及。

I think UHIP is a must and I agree it's also a necessary.
Better apply UHIP as soon as possible. Otherwise it may take
a month or longer to be effective.

Three months after she gets her work permit, she is supposed to
be qualified for a free OHIP.
Not sure whether you'll also be free for OHIP as her spouse by that time.
Better check with Health Ministry.
