Letter to Ottawa Citizen, on Tibet ( need input)
www.comefromchina.com
There is no need to argue right and wrong here in CFC, I'm sure just about all of us are pro Chinese Government, but with the western media being so neightive and mis-leading on the Tibet situation, we need to express our feelings and let the public know. I'm writing a letter to the ottawa Citizen, I would like to have some input from you guys. ***************************************************** The conflict in Tibet is nothing new; it’s the same conflict we have experienced between religion and atheism, between rich and poor. But the underline statement I want to make is that so far there is nothing done wrong by the Chinese government. Most of the Chinese do not understand the power of religion. As demonstrated over and over in the past. Religion is greater than ethics, greater than truth, and sometimes religion can be greater than life itself. Dalai Lama is in the position of god, regardless of what kind improvements Chinese Government have done in the way of living standard or social standard in Tibet. It will not be enough to the Tibetans. Chinese government needs to understand that Tibetans will not be content until their spiritual needs are fulfilled. The economic boom in China for the past 20 years has past most Tibetans, while Chinese in general are getting wealthier, most of the Tibetans are left behind, due to the language barrier and social barriers. The hatred between rich and poor not only exists between Han Chinese and Tibetans Chinese, but also among Han Chinese themselves. Although it’s easy to identify the conflict as Tibetans and Hans, but the truth is it’s really between the rich and the poor. The only pictures I saw was the houses been burn down and people beaten and killed by the Tibetan rioters. There are 24 foreign journalist allowed to visit the Tibet region today, very soon the truth will come out and it’s my prediction that the truth is, there’s nothing done wrong by the Chinese government. It’s the duty of any government is protect its citizen from harm. When you have such overwhelming force of Chinese military over a few hundred rioters, there isn’t the need to shoot people, especially when China is been watched as closely as it is. |
