为配合海外华人迎接 2008 年北京奥运的一系列活动，本地非牟利义务工作者机构天天义工团和天天羽毛球俱乐部将于5月17-18日在渥太华南部的
Barrhaven地区举办“天天羽毛球俱乐部邀请赛”。

Organized by the Tian Tian Volunteers Group (TTVG), a newly incorporated local non-profit volunteer organization, our first badminton tournament will be held jointly with the basketball tournament during the long weekend (May 17th-19th) at Mother Teresa High School (with 6 standard courts), as part of activities to support and celebrate the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.

1.比赛设成年组项目：男双，男单，女双，混双
Events for adults：Men's Doubles, Men's Singles, Women's Doubles, Mixed Doubles
青少年组项目：双打（包括混双），单打
Events for Boys and Girls under the age of 15: Doubles (including Mixed) and Singles

2. 报名费(Registration fee):
$10 per event (单项), $20 for two or more events (多项)
$40 for one family (any combination of events 项目任选)

3. 报名截止日期(Deadline ): May 11th, 2008

4.比赛先进行小组循环赛，小组前两名进入淘汰赛。组委会提供Yonex 300黄色球为比赛用球。
The playoff will be elimination after the group round robin so that each player is guaranteed to play at least 3 matches and provide the Yonex 300 yellow birdies.

5.比赛时间为5月17日上午9时到下午6时，18日下午1点到6点。
Tournament time will be May 17th Saturday 9am - 6pm, May 18th Sunday 1pm - 6pm.

Hi Tian Tian,

Thank you for your interest.

The long weekend was chosen by a couple of reasons:
There is no Chinese school for kids; it is the only available time slot that we could reserve the gym the whole day; also it is the long weekend.

TTVG welcomes everybody who loves to play badminton to drop by and enjoy the game. More importantly, we want to build a platform for those who want to meet other badminton fans and have fun.

We will reserve some courts open to folks who just want to play and enjoy.
