Want to fly to San Fancsico and then go to Las Vegas. Can anyone who went to there before give some suggestions?
E.g. How many days needed in SF or LV.
E.g What attractions in there?

u can take a one day city tour in SF downtown. The chinatown there is huge. Be sure to drive to golden gate bridge, along the driveway, u will see fisherman's wharf where u should stop by and enjoy the fresh seafood. the bay bridge is another big bridge but not in red color. u'll see lots of beaches while driving along the #1 highway ...

that's what i can remember ... never been to LV before ...

I have been to both places and surrounding areas and like to share my experience with you.

if you go to Las Vegas I suggest you don't miss Grand Canyon, which, in my view, is breath-taking.

My last trip was as following.

Fly LA (or SF, you can spend two days or three there), drive to San Diego, then Las Vegas, ( I stayed one night, you can stay two nights), drive to Grand Canyon, (I stayed one night there but I wish I had more time), then back to LA.

You can also do multi-city flight to save some driving time.

SF至少要2天, 一天需要有车, 去golden gate bridge, 花街, victorian sytle area, golden gate garden, twin peak. 一天可以买张day pass, 坐cable car, 去union square, 渔人码头, SOMA, china town, day pass $11, cable car一次$5, bus一次$1.5不分方向1.5小时有效. 如果能多呆一天, 可以去岛上的那个监狱, 还有各种博物馆, 比如和世博会有关的那个博物馆等. 在powell和market交界的地方有个travel information center, 可以先去那里拿点资料.

本人对赌博不感兴趣, 觉着LV呆一天至多一天两晚足够了. LV分老城和strip两部分, 建议在strip定酒店. 老城是当年LV的赌博中心, 除了为了和strip竞争建了一个天幕(大概15分钟的表演), 没什么其它特别的东西, 各种show都在strip, 记得的免费的show有: Bellagio的喷泉表演, Mirage酒店的火山喷发, Rio的歌舞表演, Venetian酒店内部的威尼斯设计和最豪华酒店Wynn都值得进去看看, Stratosphere有恐怕是世界最高的云霄飞车(建在酒店顶部). 到了以后酒店有资料介绍需要买票的各种show. 离老城不远有一个outlet, 感兴趣的话可以去看看.

和楼上的朋友想法一样, 如果没有去过grand canon, 到了LV干脆就把grand canon也计划进去.

你在SF有多余的时间的话可以去看看San Jose,就是硅谷拉，风景很漂亮的。当然，Standford Univeristy也是值得一走的，确实是种气度。
