This photo was taken on Sunday Sept 29 from Champlain Lookout.
The next weekend could be the best but be aware it will be very crowded then.
Parking lots for today were full at Champlain Lookout and King Mountain Trail starting about lunch time.
Huron and Étienne-Brûlé Lookout were OK.

The Champlain Lookout, located at the end of the Champlain Parkway, offers what is unquestionably the best known and most popular view in the Park. Accessible by car, this lookout perches atop the Eardley Escarpment, 335 metres above sea level. What makes this view special is the juxtaposition of two of Canada's major geological formations: the Canadian Shield, and the St. Lawrence Lowlands. Champlain Lookout offers a bird's-eye view from theGatineau Hills over the Ottawa Valley. A series of interpretive panels describes the geological events that have shaped this landscape.

For visitors who want to stretch their legs, a 1.2-kilometre (40 minutes) walking trail parallels the edge of the Escarpment. With a change in elevation of 15 metres, the trail presents some uphill and downhill stretches. This walk is enhanced by interpretive panels describing the trees in the area.
