I got the offer by telephone, but the lady told me the offer is in short program. As long as I finish 15 credits, then they are going to revaluate my averge and decide whether I can maintain in the program and do my thesis.

Does anyone has the same experience? The offer does not go diretly into the master program.

What's the average do I need to maintain? After finish the short program, what's the percentage of chance can I go diretly into the master? Too many people apply for this program corrently. In Sep, it is going to be huge numbers of people in their school. If many people are just enrolled to the short program, after finishing the 15 credits, the competition of going into master program will be really fierce.

我申请的也是Thesis(MPM - Research option)，我今天打电话去问我的application status，问的是Graduate Studies Office的Ms. Hamelin Marie，她告诉我我也被接收了，但是情况和你一样，是要先进一个short program，成绩必须在3.5以上，才能正式被接受进入Master。据她告诉我，没有人被直接接收进入Master Degree，因为教授想看看这些candicates如何，这实际上就是conditional admission，而且今年的thesis的MPM申请都已经处理完了，总共只收了七八个人，都是先进这个short program，其他都被refuse了。而 MPM (Professional option)还没有处理完，目前好像已经同意了30多个人，Hamelin说估计今年要招150人左右。

另外，Hamelin告诉我可以supervise thesis students的教授有七八个人，但是我也不知道这些人都是谁，有没有这么多人我也有些怀疑。

以上信息我也不知道是否属实，不知道还有没有其他兄弟姐妹也申请了thesis，goldfish等朋友可以打电话再去问问，尤其是确认一下“总共只收了七八个人，都是先进这个short program”，看看她们是怎么跟你说的。交了申请Master的钱，结果给了这么个鸡肋。。。

题外话：这个thesis读完了有啥用？
