You're such a nice guy and the chance is you've been taken advantage of. You thought you were doing him a favor? Don't ever think about that again. It might be too late to make claim to the insurance and how are you going to sue him without convincing people of the fact you didn't do anything to get your car fixed. Next time--if you still have such opportunity-- get all his info and make a claim against him immediately. Don't trust people's words: people will just try to get away with what they did. Decent man are rare to find.

I think you can try to contact police and show the paper whitch the guy give to you. Or contact to your insurance.

The Traffic Act requires that upto a certain level of damage, all parties have to remain at the scene until a police officer comes. For an accident, you cannot claim anything without a police report.
