It may be too late. What you should do are.
1) Call the police on the spot. Because the damage may already over 1000 dollar. And deer is same size as human cause similar damage to the car. They like to make sure you did not hit a man.
2) Call the insurance company. If your policy covers your own car they will pay for the repair.
3) If the deer dead, you can take it home.

It is covered under the comprehensive and it is not supposed to increase your insurance premium unless you hit deer multiple times, then the insurance company will ask why it always happen to you. However, you will be responsible for the comprehensive deductables. There is no need to report to police and nothing to worry about it.
