看到洋人都挂个画什么的在墙上，俺也想学学。
但不知有什么讲究，能不能给咱讲点ABC,或给个Link咱自学去。

google就行，印象派(impressionism)，表现派(expressionism)，野兽派(fauvism)，抽象派(abstract art)都有较强的装饰性。

推荐几个大师：
Georgia O'Keefe(适合用于浴室)

Wassily Kandinsky
Gustav Klimt (too much gold for me, but may be good for high ceiling rooms)
Salvatore Dali
Henri Matisse
Gustave Caillebotte
Francisco Goya
Marc Chagall
Georges Seurat
Paul Cézanne (my favorite)

if you go to Art&Home, you will find a lot of oil paint reproductions. I dont know for what reason they seem to be addicted of collecting Mark Rothko's. But you would love them if you are a fan of Abstract Impressionism.

我想你尽量别用“世界名画”，谁都知道那是印刷品，不能搁家里。
原作最好，当然起码也得画得说的过去，楼上的例子还不错，千万别买商品画。
另一种就是摄影作品，仅限黑白，因为照片都是复制品，所以也就无所谓了，最好带签名。
北美流行一种限量的画作印刷品，装裱极其精美，少量的话也可以考虑，只是不太上档次罢了。

Many companies are selling reproductions on canvases, takes longer to order but certainly worth the wait.

Paintings from local artists are usually of reasonable price. Check the Koyman Gallery in major malls. Someone was selling their painting collections a while ago in this forum, I will look for the link. They had quite a collection.
