Does anyone live in or know this area? How do you feel about it? I am very intersted in the Park Place plan of Minto, but so far it is only available in Avalon community. I work in downtown, so is that a good place to settle down there?

这个区是由Minto独立开发的，而且据说有20年的开发计划。
从那儿去Downtown,基本避开了174往返Orleans堵车的路线，不过Downtown417堵车对在城里上正常班的人来说是怎么都躲不过的。这个小区规划中的OC Transit way,是个不错的解决方法，不过，恐怕要等个十年八年的才能享受其正规服务吧？
从俺个人的观点，这将是又一个人口密度很大的居住区(按它现在的建筑密度，single间隔4-8尺)，它开发完毕后其本身居民就会有比较大的交通流量，比Barheaven，Kanata不会小了。

For those who bought new townhouses from Minto, what kind of upgrades you think are indeed necessary? Is $10,000 spending in upgrades enough for a plan like Park Place?

Depends on what you want. If something you really want and can not be done by yourself(like rough-in), you have to let builder do it. But I don't think there are many. Many changes are not applicable to the townhomes. You have to go over the list. Others can be done by yourself, like color, floor. For Park place, I think $10k is good enough for some small changes for the frame,as well as hard wood floor for the living room, some upgrades for your kitchen(like floor, cabinet...but not big). If you don't trust yourself, just let them do it. The upgrades for their model house (just for a townhouse) cost $100k.
