I want to buy a property in ottawa. but I'm a single woman, I want to know it's safe or not for a single woman to live in a house. and I also want to know which area is better.

Who can give me some suggestions? Thanks!

Ottawa is very safe place compare to other north american citys. It is safe for a single woman to live in a house, many of my co-worker do. There are few areas has higher break-in rate than other like vanier, low town. Bascially you should try to avoid low rent area where there is more "poor" people.And in ottawa I never heard a break-in cause body harm to the resident. Most residental area in ottawa is safe. But which one, it depends on what you like and how much money to spend.

You are at price of townhome.
For single woman a condo townhome is better. Because there are less yard work to take care of.
Centroponte condo townhome at that range. It is a good area. The house is about 15-20 years, but layout still good.
There are other newer freehold one at orlean, kanata barhaven.
Where do you want to live east, west south, New or old? Do you work, go to school? Most area in ottawa is safe, There is not a single place is better than other. It depends your personal situation.

家里还可以用定时器控制灯光，晚上到一定时间家里就有灯亮着的，比较安全
家门口照明要好，不要种过于高大的植物

平时多交往些朋友，不要变得与世隔绝就行了

狗的确是很忠实的，但也是要花很多心思来培养的
而且大狗活动量大，每天要出去溜的。大冬天也不例外的
如果不是真心喜欢狗，能做到吗？
而且狗大，力气也大，女孩子弱小一点的，不小心就是被狗拖着走，变成dog walk you, not you walk the dog

然后有了狗狗，出门旅游不方便很多
带着吧，有些旅馆是不让带狗的
不带吧，又得找寄养的，或者求朋友

你要是单从安全考滤,APARTMENT并不比HOUSE安全. 因为大多数女性在家受伤害,麻烦都是熟人.要是害怕单住,装一套有中央监控的ALARM,再找一个ROOMMATE也就好了.关键是找一好一点的地区.好的地段一般房价较高,学校好,周围出租房少. 太方便的地方并不好,象大MALL的边上,这些地方来往人杂.

每个周末都有OPEN HOUSE. 你可直接去看,多看一些不要急.
