Three men lose fingers from operating snowblowers
引用:
Three Men lose Fingers Josh Pringle Sunday, January 22, 2006 6:13 AM Emergency room doctors are urging you not to unblock snowblowers with your hands. The Ottawa Hospital says three men visited the E-R yesterday afternoon after trying to unblock snowblower chutes. The injuries ranged from missing fingertips to entire fingers that could not be reattached. Dr. Andrew Gee says people simply forget the force of the machine and try to push snow blockages through while the snowblower is still running. He says the best option is to use a broom handle to unclog. |

Should consider at least 8.5-9 HorsePower. Otherwise, it is uneasy to blow the heavy wet snow/ice. Mine is 10.5 Horse Power. The big snow bank left by the city snow plower does not cause any problem to me any more after I bought the machine 5 years ago |

Thanks for sharing your experience.
What is the price range and maintanence cost? I saw the neighbor cross the street used the blower, the smell from the blower (gas) is very bad. Is it an issue? any downside? |
