Sod should not be in the leaf and yard waste according to city. It should be in garbage.
The total weight limit of per bag is 15kg.

But I saw my neighbour put that thing in the paper bag, and city colleted them. Since it goes to compost yard, I don't think sod will cause any problem. So you can put it in the paper bag but not over 15kg per bag.

If you have space at backyard, you can build a compost pile with that. Use it as top dressing after it is well rotten.

不能..

Tell you a trick...you can put the sod and dirt on your driveway for the time being..dumping it bag by bag is not professional enough

When the digging is finished, rent a U-haul or big van (I know you don't have pick-up), load the dirt and dump them in one go...In the meantime, you can use the same U-haul to bring back the gravel and crush stone etc.

It will save you a lot, both time and money..

This issue used to bother me as well. It forced me to hire people(with truck) to do it for me.. But when I saw my neighbor did it using the way I described, I was so mad at meself - why can't I think it out?!

If you want to save that 27 bucks as AD said, I am sure you can find a lot of places (e.g., construction sites) you can dump the dirt...just be careful, don't get caught

For 草坪, this method may work..but be very careful with the dirt underneath the digged 草坪..it has weed seeds and will ruin your good 草坪..

That's a decent way to do it..but not suitable for TuTu because he wants to save every cent

I was told the price is roughly like this - $120 for the rental of a 4 ton bin (good enough for a small project) and $150 for 拖走...

Never tried before, but if you are really interested, I can ask someone who has the experience..
