有谁住这一片的，给说说这边的房市？房价高不？安全如何？学校如何？

Lived there before in the new house area. Had problem with neighbours' kids, who had done some vandals on our property and also injured our dogs. We called the police report line, but just for record only.

I didn't stay home to guard my house during the day time (went to work), and I guess that was the problem. One Sat I just parked my car on the crescent because I was moving things out from the driveway in the morning, and mid afternoon, a neighour already called the city and I got a parking ticket for my car.

Beside that, I think it's a convenient location. Easy access to 417, and there are quite many new houses there. There's a Muslim school there and a private Anglican Montessori with good reputation and lots of Chinese students.

I think. Many people stay home all the time. They probably run business so no need to go to work but still have enough money.

家里总是有人的地区, 应该相对来讲安全吧, 至少小偷小摸的就少些. 我从前住过一条街, 好多退休老头老太, 每天悠哉闲哉地在家门口晒晒太阳, 遛遛狗, 修修院子剪剪草, 他们自己都说那条街安全得不得了, 虽然高楼大厦的几个公寓楼就在旁边, 但我们那街就从来没有事. 真是很怀念那些老头老太们.

Fairfield is overlooked area by Chinese families. Most Asian family living in this area are from Vietnam.

Perks in this area.
- Convenient location to other parts of city - downtown, Kanada or centrePoint with quick access to 417.
- For semi-detached house, it's fairly quick for resale. Some houses are sold by owner directly and at least two houses are sold in one day by agents.
- Excellent French immersion school -- Woodroffe Public school (Top 100 or so in Ontario during last five years) If you have small kids, it is where you might send them for early education.
- There are fewer white Canadians in this area. You don't see a lot of party on weekend nights. Which is good for me.
- House prices is modest. Very important for first-time owner.

Problem:
- it is between two social house areas. Micheal Heights and Ramsey Cresent. People tends to think houses nearby get more trouble. ( I don't think the occurance is significant higher than other areas. Like I said, Asian family are more quiet. You can get statistical data in Ottawa police website. Troubles are listed by each area.)
-- House are smaller. If you have teenagers or in-laws, it's better
to try other areas.
