刚搬到OTTAWA想买房. 看了几家建筑商,觉得Muirfield Homes 的房型还可以.请问各位有了解 Muirfield Homes?谢谢.

Muirfield is a samll builder in Ottawa..they need to buy lot from other big builders..in most of the sites (Birdlewood, Brookside, Deer Run), Muirfield's lot are not ideal...

谢谢回复. The site I visited is in the south of Kanada, close to Stone haven and Green Belt. How about that site? I’m not familiar with Ottawa at all.

That's Bridlewood community.. The best community in Kanata since I live here

Urbandale owns the land and it sold the worst lots to Muidfield...You can see the Hydro line from Muirfield's model homes..

By the way, if you really like Bridlewood, the best location in this community is right behind Muirfiled's houses. There will be around 220 single family houses. Urbandale will build the houses exclusively there in two years time...They have already kicked out Tamarack (in Pine Hills and Cedar Valley, they were parteners)..

Pity, I cannot wait that long, otherwise I would not leave Bridlewood...

A lot ...and the most important is the potential of this community...Quite honest, every community in Kanata is good..I hope I will like Kanata Lakes

Hi, you mean the best location in that community is in the south of the Muirfiled's houses? When I visisted the Muirfiled's show homes, what I liked is the green belt just beside and the mature trees in the south. I was told those mature trees will be cut when the new houses are built there. I live in Quebec now. Here when we build the houses, the builders will try to keep the trees as much as possibe. I saw in Minitos' sites in Bahaven, those trees have all been cut. Do you know why we don't keep some of them?

They cannot touch the NCC green belt...but the tree location behind Muirfield's street is zoned to build the houses..There will be no (tree) buffer between Muirfield site and Urbandale's...but there will be some buffer between Urbandale's new site and Emeread(?) Meadows...

The builders are greedy, they want to build as many houses as possible...I guess that is one reason; the other reason is if they keep the trees, it may block the way when they do the construction work..

If money is not an issue, lot in front of the NCC land is a good choice..

I like the site when I was there but I'm just not sure since I know almost nothing about Ottawa. How about the neibouhood, shopping and school?

Murfield is one of better small builders in ottawa. It is a family owned building company, that was in charge all the building task in Ottawa for Coscan, a pan america company. In 2001, Coscan stops its building operation in Ottawa, so , Murfield tales over, and inherate its house models and styles from Coscan.

In Kanata lake / heritage hill area, there are some homes built by Murfield, which on the average have better building quality than homes build Claridge and Phoenix in the same neighborhood.
