Is this new? I drove to States this summer and my passport did not get stamped.

only apply to flight, i think.

Somehow, they don't have stamp at my Chinese Passport either. Once, I asked them, they said"are you asking for one?"

I said"nono, as long as I am fine"

I don't want to upset them, they are not as nice as Canadians :-(

I think that it is quite clear. If your passport gets stamped, then you could only stay there without a visa for up to six months. Otherwise, you are free to count how many days you have been already in the States.

u don't need a passport to go to States, Citizenship card is enough. But they will record your entry into their computer, so they will alway keep track on u.

You better prepare passport if you take fligth.

It has been changed since Sep 11, 2001. That is what a native Canadian told me in the flight.

I am still holding Chinese passport though.

I saw he was holding Canadian passport and asked him.

My own personal experience this summer told me that border officers did not record my entry into their system. They just take a look and ask you what your purpose for the entry to the States. I could be wrong.

I agree. I don't see them recording anything and sometime not even check your passport.
