另外，如果要学的话，是不是必须参加个俱乐部。滑雪场有没有这种学习课之类的。

帽子（能遮住耳朵），风镜（这个看情况，我用个破墨镜代替）

Eldeweiss is the best for kids and beginner. It has a carpet lifting for small kids
and a very good beginer trail, 10$ rental for kid under 6. In Ottawa area, only Eldeweiss and Calabogie(just installed) has kid carpet lifting

Kids can start from 4-5. All ski places provides free skiing for kids under 6, some are free for 6 years old kids

I think this Free Skiing means free lift, but you still need pay for rental for kids.

Cascades is another one which is close to Ottawa.

你孩子多大了？我儿子从三岁半开始滑的，有机会可以让他们一起练。

有Kids Carpet lifting　的应该是我的首选，因为我也不会。

Water walker，　好主意。我的孩子到明年是３岁。只要您的孩子不闲他小，不会滑的话，可以一起玩一起学。学滑冰和滑雪，正好释放孩子的多余的能量，省得冬天闷在家里瞎折腾。

Edelweiss, Ski vorlage and Mont Cascades(Gatineau side) are very close with each other on Road 105 or 307/366, all are good for beginer. It is surprised that the regular season pass in Edelweiss this year is only $199 and it entitle you to accessing big mountains like Mont Saint-Sauveur and Jay Peak 50% off

Calabogie Peak is at Ontario side, west of Arnprior and it is comparable to Mont Ste Marie in terms of price and trails.

You'd better join Nortel' ski club or Ottawa Ski Extreme Club if you do not have Nortel connection to get discount. Or join the group trip

It takes about 30-35 minutes from Ottawa DT.

Go to Sports Expert, SportsCheck for new gears. Or Play It Again and other
Used Equipment Stores. Check Yellow book. But the the best time to get a good deal is in March when the season is over. Make sure the kid needs a Ski Helmet. Or go to the Ski Swap Forum on
http://skiextreme.ca/. There maybe gear/ticket private sale.
