about FBI "no criminal record

I had mailed my finger print form for immigration to FBI for about 2.5 monthes, and have not received any information from them yet. The information I had said it should take only about 6~8 weeks. I also called the fingur printing agency here at ottawa, where I took the fingure print and they told me it will take about 4 MONTHes. Totally confused. Any body has experince to share?

再等等吧，我记不清了，好象以前也等了2个多月。

如果在美国呆过半年以上，办移民要FBI的无犯罪证明，把指纹和支票寄去后6-8周就能收到，否则，可以打电话去FBI询问。至于加拿大RCMP的证明，可以等体检时再办，RCMP把结果寄给移民局而不是你本人。
