1. Can I apply for USA green card during working in USA with TN Visa? If it's OK, how can I apply for it?

2. Is it OK for me to change my CAN diver licence to US driver licence without road testing?

There are two ways of getting GC: Adjust of Status within US, or consular process in a US Embassy/Consulate abroad. TN can apply for GC in both ways:

1. AOS:

Once you filed for AOS, you can no longer renew TN, but your current one is still valid, and half year after filing AOS, you can apply for EAD, so the process can go seamlessly.

2. Consular process:

TN is a non-immigrant visa, which means you can not have immigrant intention in the current entry to US, but by going through consular process you have demonstrated that you will leave US to get an immigrant visa in a Consulate. So the non-immigrant intention of the present stay in the US wasn't violated, thus you are admitable in a non-immigrant status.

AOS - Adjust of Status, the form is called I-485.

EAD - Employment Authorization Documentation. Once you have EAD, you no longer need TN.

You should not give people advice on the following two subjects unless you are very sure: one is legal, the other is medical.

Because, mis-information and ill-advise on that two matters can result in serious and irreversable consequences.

Is AOS irrevocable? if I apply for AOS, but failed to get EAD, what happened to me? Can I go back to TN to re-enter US?

What kind of VISA is corresponing to EAD?
