Yes, you are right(still the chance to cirrhosis is low). But an interesting compare:

Some people get cancer because of smoking. Still very few(I never see) people would abandon her/his partner because she/he smokes and has more chance to get cancer. And not many people can actually quit smoking for the cause of love.

Marriage requires the couple share all the risks. If
you can't make that commitment, you'd better give up
early.

I still believe "true love" should be able to endure a little higher risk. Sad for those who have to give up.

Thanks so much. You give me a little hope. I am very healthy and strong. I pray the God can save me. I'm afraid that HCV has already enter my body because I was so close to her although we didn't have sex.

Unlike hepatitis A and B, there is currently no vaccine to protect people from getting hepatitis C. An HCV vaccine remains a “holy grail” of hepatitis research. Many companies are working on candidates, but most experts do not expect an effective HCV vaccine for another 3-8 years.

One option for you:
You could visit your family doctor to a write you a blood test request (i.e., to test if you have antibodies to HCV). Maybe you have already developed immunoresponse to HCV. You should be safe to have a normal life with the girl.

Actually, for the current me, I would rather get the encouragement like your opinion. I love her so much. She is nice and kind. She already had much more painful experiences in her life. I really don't want to hurt her. It's too hard for me to give up the relationship.

You don't need to tell your parents everything. After all, it's you who is getting married.

It's hard to give advices since I am not really in your situation. But I will give one anyway If I were you, I would marry her and adopt a child.

It is sad that most people automatically distance themselves from those who are sick. They are unfortunate enough to be sick. They don't deserve to be loners for doing nothing wrong.

that's a completely different issue. Mom is part of the family, no matter wut, family will stick together. But with a gf/bf, it's diffently, u can't gurantee love is forever, you can't gurantee she/he might not dump you in the future. love with partners vs family love, which one do you value the most??? i certaily would value family more than anything.

of course it's painful to live in a situation like this, but life is crutial, life is full of choices, so you gotta be careful when making decisions. Marry someone who is not in good health condition wil not only affect you, but also ppl around you, in a way, not marry this person is actualy being responsible to others.......and of course it's painful
