Never go Canadian Tire for car repair. That's the worst place I've been to. This is also the suggestion from my local colleagues. For small garage, you are partly right. You have to find someone you trust. I supported the one I trust...

since you don't understand car, some so-called friends can cheat you easily. in china, many victims are cheated by their relatives or friends. if someone you "trust" replace a good part from your car and claim a big amount with you, who knows? big companies don't cheat because they want the reputation. I once had my car checked by canadian tire because the function light flashed and they charged just $50 for the computerised testing. if in a private garage, the own sure will charge me much more because I know nothing about car.

And you are bragging they charged you $50 for code reading. Do you know how easy it is? I know some garage do it for free. Do you know the mechanics in Canada Tire living on commissions. They are whole bunch of liar.

How sure are you? I have my "check engine" light checked at the garage I trust. The owner told me, no need to change anything...

说实话，不管是Candadian Tire还是小Garage，都有宰人不眨眼的事情，唯一的办法就是多修多了解，最后找到可信的车行，自己也不再对车傻冒。

好没知识啊。2003年加拿大一个权威机构在全国范围内的暗访。Canadian Tire 排名倒数第一。包括服务质量和价格。尤其是价格几乎全离谱。
