I am new in this area, so I really don't have much idea which area is good for us. Basically what I am looking for is a good school and neighbourhood for my little daughter, and easy access to downtown area,( i work there). The price range is below $200,000. The house is no need big, since only 2 of us. If you have any good recommendation, it's really appreciated.

Then I feel that you should choose centrepoint, where the houese are new and the community is excellent. There are many many Chinese moving there. For the school, the kinds can go to Knoxdale as French Imm and go to Sir Robert Border high school, which is one of top high school in the city.

There are many houses and townhouses are on sale in centerpont area, manye price is little expensive, but they worth the money. I know Richcraft (a builder) is going to build condo (apt) beside Sir Guy Carleton high school and you may want to check their price there.

If you work in downtown, then centerpoint is very close to the baseline bus stop (which is a big stop) and the bus will take you on downtown in 15 minutes.

Yes, you can find an agent to look for a house for you. He/she will get commision from the seller, not from you.

If just two of you, then you can consider that Richcraft condo (which will include 1 or 2 bd room). I saw they put a sale house there but don't know when you are going to build and sell them.

For C$200,000, or a bit more, you can find a townhouse with 2 bed room or more in centerpoint. I saw one on sale a while ago.

The hosuing price in centerpoint increase about 50% in the last 5 years and I heard from one agent a while ago, that it's the hottest area in the city.

Hi Sir or Madam:

Your view is wrong. In the cetral park, right now, the higher school is Nepean
higher school. My daughter will go to Nepean higher school since Laurencian
higher school is closed.

Hope those bad apples won't bring Nepean high down. I really feel the source of the students is very important for a school.

这房子在 centre point 南边一点。可能比你提到的房子合算。学区跟 centre point 是同一学区。

It's north of baseline between greenbank and woodroff. There is a
road called Centerpoint Drive will (from baseline) taking you through that community.

Get a Ottawa map and it will tell you where it is.

I am planing that I 'll have a look at this area this weekend.

It has a huge park (33 acre) and is close to library (used to be the
city hall of Nepean). It's close to bus station (baseline) and shoping center (college square) and it's not far from anywhere if driving (like Nepean sportsplex, Ikea, Wal-mart, Costco etc).

It's a relative new community with most houses are 10-20 years old and most families living there are young working middle-class family raising children.

Central park所属学区的英语小学很不怎么样，不过FRENCH的小学好像也是Agincourt，Central park所属学区的高中非常差，就是Loblaws对面那个，听说全市倒数能数得上，Central park北面那一片政府楼也很吓人。


GREENBANK所属学区的高中很不错，全市能数得上，和渥太华教育局是邻居。据说那地区的房价和这高中多少有点关系。

Central Park's English school is also at Agincourt now. Laurential High School is closing this year and all students will be transferred to Nepean High, which is one of the best in the city. The old Nortel buildings were sold to the government. All these point to what - the house price in Central Park area will be on the rise soon.

Greenbank area used to be the worst in terms of schools and community. But it is much better now.

What I am trying to say it - there is no fixed "good" or "bad" lable on any community. Things keep changing all the time.
