Panasonic PV-GS9 DV-Camcorder problem - no sound

There is video but no sound.

When we record a video, and then playback on the camcorder,
there is only video, but no sound.

We tried cleaning tape, to clean the heads, but still no sound.

Does anyone know the problem? Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
