You can buy the Japanese made rice cooker. The brand name is Tiger. It's more expensive than other brands and makers but the quality is good.

非常感谢!是不是日本的牌子都还不错?我在多伦多也看过tiger,但是不知道渥太华这边哪里有卖.还有我希望最好是上面的蒸锅和下面的米饭锅能分离的.
我现在这个实在是恐怖,不知道吃了多少涂料层进肚子里了.怕怕.

我在Loblaws买的PC牌子的电饭锅，用了一年了，还好好的。大概39还是49一个。我觉得挺好。
注意只能用塑料或者木头饭勺盛饭，不然再好的也会被划破。

可以到利丰买"美的"牌的电饭煲,一点都不粘锅,用得很好.大概45-50$吧,记不太清楚了

Mide is not bad, I have one and had been used for 3 - 4 years. Please notice no-stick surface should use plastic or wood shovel.
Usually Toflon (? spelling) is not good for health. There are some new non stick material : ceramic non-stick is 5 times harder than Toflon (?) and no side effect to your health. But it is very very expensive, a wok for $500, made in Germany, I don't see a rice cooker how much.

VitaClay is ceramic rice cooker around $130 and Miracle is a stainless steel rice cooker about $80. Both of them no teflon made in China but no sale in Ottawa.
You can order them from USA in eBay.
