You underestimated dell call center job. For those so called high paid high tech Chinese workers, they may not be qualified to be dell call center. It requires quite a lot of inter-personal skills and language skills.

You misread my post.

I am concerned with second poster's saying that high school graduate can do dell tech support. His/her tougue is full of dispise/looking down upon these call center tech support workers. Second poster must have way higher salary, but this is not justified for him to say high school graduate can do that job.

Dell call center (technical support) is way much different from banking/sales call center where people got very low pay. Dell call center technical support (especially some enterprise server support) does require at least college diploma like Algoquin.

These are highly qualified very competitive employees, that's the legacy of Dell. I'm optimistic that our local job market could fully absorb this job cut.
