Relief goods, including 800 tents, 30,000 quilts, 464,000 kilograms of food, and 2,000 shelter tarpaulins, will be provided to survivors in Qingchuan, a quake-affected county where World Vision has a community development program. The goods will be purchased in-country and distributed by World Vision's local staff and relief teams.

Additionally, 100 hygiene kits consisting of soap, towels, and toothbrushes will be provided to survivors living in temporary shelters.

"This earthquake has affected thousands of people in Sichuan province," said Victor Kan, World Vision's emergency response director in China. "There is no time to lose. World Vision is focusing on saving the lives of survivors."

They will not send the money to China Red Cross or Chinese government agencies. The Canadian Red Cross will determine the needs of Chinese victims and buy the goods and send to China. If they determined the needs is less than what the money they got. The surplus will go to an international relief fund. For example, if they received $11 million and they determined that China only needs $10milion. The $ 1million left will go to the international relief fund, not to China. Therefore, you should find a way to donate money to a agency will sent the relief sooner and all the donations they received to China
