Can builder do things like that?

<HTML>To bad, our house got delayed again by the builder! The original date should be June 21 and we were told June 26 a week ago, June 29 a couple of days ago, and finally July 6 as of today.

We (4 people) will be kicked out from the appartment and leave in the hotel based on the $125/day expense for god knows how long, as we were told it could be infinite. Damn!

Can builder do things like that? Any advice is appriciated!</HTML>

<HTML>By right, builder should give you 2-month notice for any delay. Check your original Purchase agreement. Talk to your lawyer also and see what you can do about it. Don't be afraid of sueing those builders.

BTW, if the bulder did not give you enought notice time, they should at least pay for the hotel.

<HTML>Talked with the lawyer and studied the agreement. If there is a delay notic 2 months before, the builder will not pay anything. It is just because the builder did not issue the notice, they are paying the cost, which is $100 per day in the OHPW(??). Our lawyer says that the builder is doing the right things.

BTW, sometimes the builder's words really pissed us off. I know somebody buying his house from the same builder, the builder even talked about returning the deposit if they are not satisfied.
