机器刚启动出现提示：SMART FAILURE ON THE HARD DISK， BACKUP。。。
后，想重新安装98，和2000， 但总有错误。装98时，总提示插入CD98盘或启动软盘，即使已经放进CD和启动盘。

各位，请指教现在该怎样作？

backup your useful data on the hard drive immediately.
Then scan your hard drive, probably there are some bad sectors there.
If yes,send your hard drive back to manuafactor for replacement.


I met once and did what I just told you.
It is a huge work, but it saved all useful stuff.
Is it a IBM hard drive? Mine was.

PS: Never buy IBM hard drive, it's fast and quiet, but it's unbelievably unstable.
3 broken case happened to me already. 30G,60G,30G, so trust me,it's not worth it.
