住在魁省与住在安省，买房及年底保税有何不同？


以前一直租房，现在工作了也有了买房的打算。同类的房子魁省会便宜不少，再加上没有水费，地税便宜，day care 等等，但也听说中产阶级魁省的收入税要比安省高一些。
那么假设法语及社区忽略不计的前提下，一家三口或四口，家庭年收入税前6-8万，（过十万的可能性在近期很小，毕竟俺们不是牛人只是普通百姓）在魁省和安省买房自住各有什么利弊？

Property tax is higher in Quebec side because the water fee is included. A family would expect normally $600/year for the water in Ottwa. Thus they are almost equal considering the total amount.

In Quebec side, you pay less for house, day care, car insurance, and education, you enjoy better scene view, neighborhood, and city services, so would you mind pay a higher tax?

(1) If you live in Quebec and you have children, they must go to French schools unless you graduated from English schools in CANADA.

In Ontario, people have a freedom of studying in regular English, French immersion or regular French schools.

(2) For the tax return, you need to file 2 returns. 1 for Canada and 1 for Quebec.

In Ontario, 1 tax return only.

(3) (funny experience.. Just for laugh only.) Car rental companies in USA may not understand/read the information from the Quebec driver license because it is written in French. I was asked my date of birth, although the information was written in the driver license already.

How much is the difference of the housing price in Gatineau, Quebec from Ottawa, Ontario? When you do the math, consider the higher income tax rate, lower day care fee, and the traffic on the bridges if you work in Ottawa as well.

better city services? I don't think so.

By $25/year for the family, you can get a Gatineau access card, which includes free access to all indoor swimming pools, badminton courts, tennis courts, skate arena, snow silding and cross-country skiing (include free quipments rental), etc.

Summer camps for children are $25/week if they are provided by the city.

How much people pay in Ottawa?
