have question about my gas bill

I already received two bills since November last year. one is 320 dollar one is 230 dollar. it's more than I expected. can anybody tell me if this is normal? is there any way to reduce the cost?

Btw I mean the gas used to warm up house.

Is the bill is for two months not one month?? Also in the bill it suppose showed how much gas you used and how much it cost, then how much is the other charges........ and also is your stove is use gas? Is your dryer is use gas?

the damn bill is in French. it says
prix de distribution 76.42
prix du gaz 81.85

this is the bigest expense.

the paying period is 29 days. the bill shows I used 335 m3 gaz.

I just want to know if this is normal and how people handle this normally.

PS: I don't even have stove or dryer. the gaz is only used to warm house.

If the bill is only for 29 days and you didn't have stove and dryer, that will be really too much, my home use gas stove and gas dryer and the monthly bill is around $150, may be your house is a lot bigger then mine or you set the heat too high?

in my house the high is 21 degree and low is 17 degree. I'll make it lower to see what the difference is.

Low is 17 degree?? Will that be too cold?? My house set at high is 24 and low is 20.

The gas is more expensive then Hydro now. I have canceled my gas and use hydro only.
