Hamster Injury
Hi I own 2 adult hamters for about half a year. In the last few days I've found one of them, the bigger one, walking awkwardly, and it made a "clink clink" sound on the table. I picked her up and found a bump on one of her hind legs.
The wound is bleeding and she's always licking it. I think she twisted her joints although I'm not quite sure how. Do you guys think this is a major injury? If so do you think I should visit a vet? I don't know if this will heal over time. Please offer some suggetions. This is my first time raising a hamster. |

I think this is not a major injury for hamster, just leave it in the cage, chage the bedding more frequently than usual, do not touch its leg which hurted by some reasons. you can visit a vet, but they will charge you a lot in this case.

![]() The cage is cleaned every week, and bedding also I bath my hamters with water and soap(weekly), is this not a good idea considering one of them has a wound? |
