真可怜，但是比起中国的狗狗已经可以了。中国的狗狗还生下来注定要被吃。我爸爸的朋友就送给我们一条，说是拿来吃吧。恶心死我了。我看着她跟我们家尊贵的波斯猫玩的可开心了。哪知到不同命运啊。艾。。。

你们肯定想知道后来吧。呵呵。后来爸爸坚决不要。我想养，但是那种狗狗是专门生下来顿肉的。后来就被他们拿回去了。好恐怖。。。。应该没有我家猫猫幸福了。

她是说，宠物店不是个好的途径
农场和专业的breeder，也要看他们是否对狗是真正的关心。真正关心的，他们会问你一大堆问题，弄清了你对狗的热情不是一时的，而且你真的有条件养狗，才会把狗狗交给你。这样才是负责任的breeder

带一条健康活泼可爱的狗狗回家，价钱真的很重要嘛？

CKC registered breeders are not garanteed to be a good breeder, but good breeders would ask questions, even home visit. Good breeders don't mean expensive breeders, although they usually are, but not as expensive as pet stores.

You can't sell your puppy like a second-hand car if he falls ill, and responsible owners won't discard a puppy like garbage when he's not slightly convenient for them.

某某 said it very well: it's not a good time for bargain hunt when buying a puppy, it's as simple as that.

Good breeders deserve to charge a premium price, because they went that extra steps to take good care of the dogs, that's my view, and you can certainly disagree. When I'm buying a puppy, I'm either going to get it for free from an animal shelter (tons and tons of rescued dogs there) with a donation of course or I'm going to do my research and get the dog from a reputable breeder.

Many people opt for pet stores or newspaper ads because it's EASY, you pay the money and off you go. In fact those people are actually sponsoring puppy-mills and barkyard breeding. In short, those people are in fact degrading the general welfare of the animals. Again, that's my view on this, and you can certainly disagree.

If you truly care about dogs general welfare, how could you support getting a dog from petstore or an unethical backyard breeder?

Here is one comment I found on pets.ca where I frequent, a very insightful discussion forum, which summarizes all the key points I was trying to make:

Teddy, my BMD, was a 40th Birthday present. We purchased him at a pet store. We were new again to QC after being away for 12 years. We thought it was a good idea at the time as it looked like a really high end store with very healthy animals. Teddy died as many of you know during surgery at 6 months. What did I learn from this experience?
1) never ever support a petstore
2) never let your heart rule your brain
3) research, research, research
4) ask about genetic testing for both parents
5) ask about health guarantees
6) understand the breed, it's health risks etc
7) meet with the breeder
8) meet the parents
9) go to a show where the breeders dogs are competing
10) ask for references from previous purchasers

All I can add is please be sure before getting a purebred dog that you have looked at every angle and, if at all possible, try to rescue one instead of purchasing one from a breeder.
