Why don't we step back and think about the issue here. My understanding of how this thing started is as follows:

The issue: breeding your own pet.
My opinion: that's backyard breeding and it's wrong.

Many assumptions have been made towards either my stand on various pet issues or myself, so for the record, I'd like to state the following:

1. I love animals, they are the love of my life. I treat them like my own kind, sometimes even more so because of their unconditional devotion. So whatever the breed, purebred, mixed or alien, I don't care, I love them equally. Bear in mind that this is where I come from.

2. I want what's best for my PET, not myself, not anybody else, my PET. I want him to live a healthy and happy life with me and my family.

3. I am AGAINST backyard breeding, for whatever reason, it's wrong. Making money out of this is even worse, so I'm strongly against that as well.

4. I am AGAINST irresponsible pet ownership, for whatever reason. Irresponsible owner actions include but not all:
-buy and sell your pet the next day;
-do not take your pet to see the vet when he's sick;
-leave the pet in the yard/balcony to howl;
-abandon your pet just because you need a vacation.

Now my comments:
I don't think it's right to ask for apologies just because I don't agree with other's opinions. Thank God we live in a free country. So you are entitled to your opinion and so am I.

That being said, I do realize that my voice could sometimes be harsh, I'm aware of that and will continue to work on it. However that's MY problem. I would think that if everyone agrees on all things, then we are no longer human but robot. My voice, my way of approaching an issue, my principles made up the person I am today, that's what's making me a unique individual, and each person is unique in his/her own way.

If I hurt anyone in the process, that was NOT my intention. My intention was to:
1. share knowledge on responsible pet ownership;
2. share knowledge on my own experience with pet ownership.

I do wish that there could have been more maturity in this debate, so that we could have cleared the misunderstanding from the get-go, unfortunately that wasn't the case. While there is a lot left to be desired on the way I approached the issue, I am NOT going to compromise my principles just to please the majority of people, I stand firm behind this, there is no middle ground here. I WILL continue to do whatever needed to be done to promote responsible pet ownership and to promote the welfare of animals.

Finally, I sincerely apologize to the 2 moderators of this forum, although I am not wholy resonsible for the riot, I am partly, so for that I am truly sorry. I also want to congratulate the moderators on the way they handled the issue: firm, fair, mature and objective, I have A LOT to learn from these 2 young ladies.

This is a forum that unites pet lovers, so let it be the forum for pets and pet lovers please.

I do not know the moderators personally, although I would love to get to know them.
I agree that there are things that this forum could improve upon, 宠物相亲区 is just one example, but that's up to the forum moderators to decide.

Be very clear on this: what I say to anyone is my opinion and my opinion only. You can listen or not, it's up to you, but I'm going to say it anyway, because it's what I believe in.
