I have been at the shelter since Oct 24, 2006. This information is less than 1 hour old. Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: Bell is a very active 2 month old Canadian Eskimo/ Husky mix from the Iqaluit shelter, she needs a home with kids around 10 years of age. Lots of exercise and weekly activities would be ideal for this active pup. Previous dog owner is suggested as well as being experienced with larger breeds. Bell would benefit from living with a soft-profile adult dog who can show her the ropes, at this point she is competitive with other dogs over food and attention. Best with cats who are tolerent and familiar with dogs. Obedience classes would be great for her to get her socialized and help her with her timidity. Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: Flurry is a 12 week old Husky/Canadian Eskimo Dog from the north. She is a very social and outgoing pup - moreso than most dogs of her breed heritage. She is a tolerant, gentle pup who is suited for children older than 3. Obedience classes are suggested to help her bond with her new family and start learning some of her puppy basics. She needs ongoing socialization with people, places, and other dogs and needs someone home with her the majority of the time to start. She is not suited to an apartment because of her breed combo. Livingn with another soft-natured dog would be great for her and she would be fine in a home with dog-savvy cats. I have been at the shelter since Dec 05, 2006. This information is less than 1 hour old. Shelter Staff made the following comments about this animal: Ellie is a silly 3 month old puppy from Iqaluit. She has very distinct facial markings that make her look like she's wearing glasses! This little girl refuses to go unnoticed and is an in-your-face little pup. She needs a new family with children older than 10 and would do best in a home with a dominant male to keep her in line. Her new family should be willing to take her to obedience so she can start putting all that energy into good doggy deeds. She is a vocal dog and is not suited to an apartment or townhouse. Her new owner has to be firm and no-nonsense about training to get her on the right track. If you have an tonne of patience, an ounce of commitment, and a dash of humour, this spectacled lady might be for you!
