For sell = For sale (No grammatical error)
In the dictionary, sell is ALSO a noun, meaning the act of selling. So, there is no error on saying, "For Sell."

So, I bet If it was used in an English test today, it would be marked as an error. I did Google "for sell" and this was the only entry appeared on the first few screens: for sell |
