it is pure gps, but it works as a mobile version google map,

I tried on my co-worker's iphone, it is not that great, but it works.

I prefer just buy a regular gps, or a blackberry's new cellphone which has a better version of turn-by-turn gps.

It is true. The GPS is not as great as the reg. GPS (ie. Garmin or Tomtom), but it is still very cool that you see the pin is moving while you are driving, and I suppose if you have two people in the car then iPhone map will do the trick for you.

GPS只是一种定点技术, 导航是要用软件付诸实现. TomTom很快就要出Iphone的导航软件了,到时候就能达到独立GPS设备的基本功能.

GPS我已经有了，我就是想看看这个iphone 3G到底比HTC Touch好多少。bell的TOUCH删除了wifi功能，没有iphone 3G好，bell的touch要更新ROM才可以用GPS，但这些对我影响都很小。毕竟bell的plan更好，无限制上网才7块钱，一个月加一起连税所有的才30块，连美加的长途都包括了。Iohone 3G和HTC touch diamond是一代的产品，可惜diamond不能用7块的plan。

OGG，那个iphone 3G的电池怎么样啊？有人说费的很快。

Battery is always the issue for Apple hand held product. My iPhone lasted about 2.5 days with the 3G on all the time. I know if I turn off the 3G the battery life will last longer.
