你也想开点, 如果是裁一批人, 看来公司经济状况确实有问题了. 应该其他同事有类似遭遇. 想想北电最后裁的人吧, 很多人10-20年工作年限,最后一分钱没拿到.

If you look back at NT's financials around 2007 to 2008, you can tell that NT needs financing. At that time, the market is in good shape.

Plus, if NT sold a division back in 2006 to 2007 in private equity boom, the company would be fine.

Even at the time it filed for Chapter 11, it didn't have to. You know who is the advisor and who advised NT for Chapter 11 ?

If you are familiar with WS, you would know NT was fxxked to sleep with that company. It starts with Lxxzxxd....

So, it is the board that was responsible. The stupid and arrogant CEO was the executor...

This is a lesson that will be re-learned again and again...Nobody washes rented cars !

Nortel is basically a research business. It never made any profit in the last 10 years before went bankrupt. In 2004, Nortel announced a little profit but was fined by sec for making false claims. Is that funny? I do think the management team must be blamed, not the wall street or the board.

Research in motion sounds like a research business so it should follow the fate of Nortel. Sad reality.
